Building a positive team culture is not something that can be engineered. It’s a combination of every 'day-to-day', as well as encouraging your employees to bring their authentic selves to work, allowing their personalities to shine through.

There are a number of things you can do to promote healthy relationships with your team, and the benefits of having a team that not only gets on but enjoy each other’s company are endless. Teams that can motivate, inspire and challenge each other are more productive, more positive, and more appreciative of those they work alongside.

Team building activities can –

  • Encourage networking, such as building bridges between departments
  • Improve communication
  • Boost company morale by demonstrating appreciation
  • Unlock leadership potential
  • Create an atmosphere of celebration, team spirit, and most importantly – fun!

Knowing the importance of both rewarding hard work, and building team culture, the team at Carter Security recently embarked on quite the challenge… Together, we attended ‘Challenge Plus’ at Go Ape in Thetford! Designed as a high rope course specifically for adults, it aims to test both mental grit and physical boundaries. The highest point sits at a staggering 9 meters, with the final zip wire 140 meters long. It certainly isn’t a challenge to be taken on by the faint-hearted! It was brilliant to see the team support (and tease) each other, resulting in a brilliant day out.
