As you're all well aware, every month we reward a hardworking member of the team with the 'Tony Award' which also includes £50 worth of Amazon vouchers. We do this for two main reasons:

  1. To demonstrate how much we appreciate our dedicated staff
  2. To encourage a little bit of healthy competition, so our security standards remain exceptionally high.

This month, the Tony Aware has been presented to: Jen Coker.

Tony has asked that we share his comments about her, "Jen came on board with the company several months ago, as our mobile patrol officer. Her responsibilities have increased, in line with the length of her service.

As well as key holding and alarm response, Jen also carries out compliance checks on all of our local sites, ensuring the welfare of our staff out of hours.

Jen is a big team player, often assisting with events and offering to cover sites that would otherwise go uncovered. She has gone from strength to strength and has really proved herself to be an invaluable member of the team."

This month, as with every month, we were spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting a winner, but with Jen, it was an easy decision! As you can tell from the comments above, she shares our passion for ensuring staff welfare, which is all the more important out of hours. She is a brilliant team player too -- an essential quality to have in the security industry.

Why is teamwork so important?

Ask anyone and they will say that teamwork is a huge factor for success in every business!

When people work well together as a team, it creates synergy -- where the combined efforts of the team are greater than the sum of the results! It builds trust within the workforce and allows people to get to know each other on both a personal and professional level. Only when your staff can connect and understand their colleague's strengths and weaknesses, can a business really thrive.

Having a team spirit will improve staff attitude, solve problems more efficiently and make individuals feel appreciated. In the security sector, it means being able to cover shifts if someone is unwell, offer advice and experience to those who are newer to the industry and improve overall training.

Jen is a prime example of being a brilliant team member as well as boosting team spirit across the company, and for that, we are incredibly thankful. We really hope she appreciates her £50 Amazon voucher!
