For many, the summer means attending festivals and gigs, but these events happen all year round and if you have a setting with great acoustics, it's likely you'll have bands playing almost every weekend! Whilst this is a great way to attract people to your venue, you need to consider security, not just for your headliner, but for your paying guests too.

If you already have a door supervisor team, you're already halfway there, but bigger events may need a larger security presence. There are a number of ways that a packed venue could benefit from a security team like Carter Solutions and Services Limited.

1. Ensuring only those with tickets can enter

If you have a well-known local or even international headliner, it will most likely be a ticketed event. Or, perhaps your event is in aid of a charity and therefore tickets are required to get in. Having door supervisors that are able to check both age restriction and valid tickets means you don't need to worry that anyone will be trying to take advantage of your evening.

2. Keeping guests to the right areas

If you have a backstage area, it's important to keep that exclusively for the bands that are performing, so that have space to prepare and time to gather themselves before and after being on stage. Eager fans may try to slip backstage for an autograph -- or most likely a cheeky selfie! -- but if you have a security presence able to protect that space, you will ensure your headline act feel safe and secure, making them more likely to return to your venue time and time again.

3. A great deterrent to unruly behaviour

Everyone loves music, but unfortunately, the addition of alcohol can make even the most placid of individuals a little unruly. Having a clear security presence encourages even large crowds of people to remain friendly, even with lots of dancing! The rock scene could see mosh pits or circle pits, and whilst these are rarely violent, having a security team ready to step in should people get carried away will put your mind at rest. Our security officers are also highly trained in de-escalation, meaning if things do become aggressive, our team can step in and resolve the situation quickly.
