Every week we assess the news, and as a business it's imperative we stay completely up to date with current government guidelines and legislation regarding the coronavirus pandemic. Reports today are stating that the UK is very much heading into a second wave of COVID-19, with cases and deaths rising daily. It's a difficult time for everyone, with many questions needing to be answered. The most predominant question is undoubted, are we heading towards an inevitable second lockdown?

For us, we very much hope not, as our clients in the hospitality sector would therefore be forced to close once more, and like many, they are struggling already with the now imposed 10 pm deadline. From both a financial and mental wellbeing point of view, it's incredibly difficult to fathom the effects that a second lockdown would trigger. It's certainly cause for concern.

It goes without saying that we want to support in any way possible to reduce the impact that COVID-19 will have on the country as we head into colder months.

  • We will be ready to step up and secure empty buildings should need be.
  • We will abide by the wearing of facemasks indoors for those security officers inside retailers and hospitality venues.
  • We continue to respect and encourage social distancing measures as part of our role in keeping businesses safe.
  • We have taken the steps in additional training to better equip our team with the skills they need to combat additional difficulties that facemasks, one way systems, 10 pm curfews and everything else that's changed and added to the security we provide.

As a national business, we are also quick to adapt to local lockdown measures and have constant communication for those security teams working remotely. Our support goes out to those parts of the country currently experiencing stricter lockdown rules, and we hope that cases begin to decline to enable you, your business and your families to return to a more normal way of life.

In the most recent government announcement, Boris Johnson mentioned the possible introduction of the military to support with government guidelines, but what he failed to mention was the private security firms such as ourselves that have worked hard, as keyworkers, throughout the course of the pandemic in keeping everyone safe. We want to remind all of our customers and clients that we're here to support.

As a nation, we may be facing an uncertain few months ahead, but please rest assured knowing that your security measures are in safe (and sanitised) hands with Carter Solutions and Security Limited.

Also, you're currently looking for work due to implications of Covid-19, we are recruiting for Security Officers, Gate House Officers, Mobile Patrol Officers and Manned Guard-Reception Officers - for full-time and part-time positions. If you could picture yourself as working for one of the leading security companies in the UK, please get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you!
