Both personally and professionally, seeing the indefinite closure of the hospitality sector has been tough. If you think you've been missing your local over the last few months, you can bet that our security officers and door supervisors have also missed welcoming the public for a night of socialising and memories. This week saw the government announce their roadmap out of lockdown, and like many others, we were keen to see when restrictions could be safely lifted - hopefully once and for all!

Whilst we understand the government's plan is dependent on numerous factors and is therefore subject to change, we couldn't help but feel just a little excited at the prospect of outdoor hospitality opening it's doors once again from 12th April 2021. Our training over the last year means we're well-equipped to support businesses that will still need to operate under the 'rule of 6' or 'two households', with COVID-19 Marshals still very much being operational throughout the UK.

As the plan progresses, so too does the relaxation of rules surrounding social distancing, with nightclubs finally allowed to reopen perhaps from 21st June this year. As has understandably been the case throughout the management of this pandemic, the relaxation of guidelines or the implementing of firmer social distancing rules could change depending on the level of infection in the population, and this may well cause frustration for many.

For pubs and clubs, this could make opening their doors difficult to manage, and this is where our expertise can really assist your business in these uncertain times. As keyworkers, we have provided quality security throughout the pandemic, and we have had to adapt as the rules and guidance has continually changed. Our extensive training means not only are we crystal clear on what the rules are, but our experience in security means we're able to communicate this to the public -- particularly those who might not want to pay attention to the rules. In the same way that our door supervisors have had to check ID, handle tickets or practice crowd control, so too can we monitor social distancing.

Reopening the country to enable people to come together once more is going to be a delicate operation and one that will definitely put the hospitality sector under scrutiny once more. A professional, understanding and experienced security team can help to take the pressure off your staff, ensuring your employees and your customers remain safe, whilst still having a great time.

For more information on how we can work with your business during these unusual times by providing trained security personnel, please don't hesitate to get in touch with a member of our team.
