Security guards are a brilliantly proactive way to keep your business secure and drastically reduce the risk of crime. However, we do understand they can be seen as a costly investment, depending on the size of your business premises and your bespoke security needs. We're incredibly proud of the work we do and can make you four key promises when you invest in security officers from Carter Security so you know you're receiving the very best.

1. We promise to recruit only SIA licensed guards, and we will never subcontract

As is often the case, the first step in ensuring a quality security service starts with recruitment and bringing in the right people to represent your business. It's for this reason that we never subcontract, preferring instead to go down the more time-consuming route of recruiting individuals. Only by doing this can we personally meet every person who wears the Carter Security uniform, and every single one of our guards would have been screened by someone at our head office. Yes, it's more costly for us to do this, but for us, it's non-negotiable.

2. We create tailor-made contracts

Before signing a contract with us, we will always be completely transparent. We will discuss individual needs with each of our clients, creating tailor-made security that suits their business and their budget.

We offer security to a range of sectors:

  • Retail
  • Hospitality
  • Licensed gaming
  • Education
  • Industrial
  • Corporate
  • Construction

As you can imagine, each of these industries will have different specifications and different risks. Not only that, but within each sector, you'll find different locations, sizes, budgets and priorities. If you're unsure about which will be the most effective security service for your business, we can conduct a thorough risk assessment of your business and discuss your options with you.

3. We will always invest in remote management

For a national business like ourselves, with security contracts that operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it is hugely important to invest in a remote management system that enables us to act as a local security company in all areas of the UK. Excellent remote management supports not just the security officers on the ground -- ensuring their safety -- but it also demonstrates an excellent quality of service to our clients too.

As part of our remote management, every security officer needs to fill in a report at the end of every shift. This report can be seen by the client, and it's viewed by our team at head office as well. This ensures we have complete transparency of what's happening and when, and allows us to build trust with our clients and support our security officers in their day to day (or night to night) roles.

4. Ongoing training and support

Finally, we invest in ongoing training and personal development. As demonstrated in recent months, the role of a security officer is ever-changing and it's hugely important to remain completely up to date with government guidelines and legislation to ensure our security officers are operating safely and within the confines of the law.

Having these conversations allow us to discuss career advancement with each and every member of our team, supporting them to grow as individuals and become more qualified as they progress through a career in security.

For more information on how we can work with you to provide a quality security service at your business, please don't hesitate to get in touch with a member of our team. We look forward to hearing from you.

Alternatively, if you're looking to further your career within the security industry, please check the careers section on our website or email us an up to date copy of your C.V. We never subcontract, we invest in training and we work hard to support our staff. We look forward to meeting you.
