Working outdoors is part of the job when it comes to mobile patrols, manned guarding, and door supervisors, and that means whatever the weather, we will be vigilant when it comes to security. At this time of year, we know it’s highly likely that temperatures will be dipping and the chance of rain high. Our experience has taught us that crime levels can increase during bad weather, and there are a number of things that need to be taken into consideration.

CCTV will be compromised if visibility is poor

CCTV footage is always best in broad daylight and dry conditions when imagery will be clearer, yet this is the least likely time for an opportunistic criminal to take their chance! In poorer weather conditions, it will be more difficult to get confirmed identification of a trespassing or vandalising individual. This is especially the case in stormy winter weather when heavy rainfall could impact visibility further. This is where mobile patrols and manned guarding will have a distinct advantage. Our security officers are all equipped with excellent sturdy footwear and waterproof jackets, meaning whatever the weather, we’re always more than prepared.

We can check your perimeters for flood or storm damage

High winds, flooding, and heavy rain can all cause damage to your business site, especially if you have tall fencing around the perimeter. Part of our role as security officers is checking the perimeters and reporting damage to you. Damage to your physical security measures such as railings and barbed wire will undoubtedly make it much easier for criminals to gain access to your property, therefore, having it reported quickly so it can be repaired will assist in crime prevention at your business.
