There's one a few days to go until Christmas, and everyone is feeling well and truly festive here at Carter Solutions and Services Limited. But, whilst everyone else is winding down, our security officers will still be working hard over the Christmas period. Reduced working hours, extra bank holidays and many people taking annual leave to spend this time of year with their families mean that offices are empty, construction sites slow to a halt and industrial sites are notoriously quiet.
This puts businesses at greater risk, making them vulnerable to trespassers and break-ins, meaning our security team need to be extra vigilant. However, there is one trespasser that we would turn a blind eye to on one night of the year... Father Christmas, of course!
Despite his allusive nature, we're well equipped to spot St Nick in action!
1. CCTV and thermal imagery
First off, we can always see him coming! CCTV and thermal imagery mean our security officers will be well aware of his presence when he's stopped off on the roof. He knows this of course, and will also do a little wink to the camera before sliding down the chimney.
2. Manned guarding and mobile patrols
Our mobile patrol and manned guarding service mean feet on the ground. Not only is this an excellent deterrent to crime, but it also means anything even slightly suspicious is acted upon quickly and professionally. This means we're well training in listening out for anything out of the ordinary, be that the jingle of bells or the clatter of hoovers on a roof. No matter how discrete Santa is trying to be, you can guarantee that we'll be more than aware of his whereabouts.
3. Alarm response
Finally, there's our alarm response service. Although Santa tends to steer away from using doors and windows to gain entry, he'll no doubt set off internal alarms -- and we'd be notified immediately. You'll be pleased to know that as part of our understanding with Mr Claus, he lets us know exactly -- down to the micro-second - when he'll be entering a property. This completely removes the risk of festive false alarms on Christmas Eve.
