England removed COVID-19 restrictions months ago, and that means large-scale events – both indoor and outdoor – are once more there for us to all enjoy.  With proper planning and a positive and proactive security presence in place, we're confident that you'll be able to host a safe event!

Consider the venue and date

Perhaps the most important part of any event is the location. Covid-19 is still very much a concern for many, so consider hosting the event outside, with enough space to allow for adequate social distancing. Whilst this may not be a legal requirement, it will almost undoubtedly help in making your guests feel more comfortable, and it will be something to subtly acknowledge in your marketing efforts too.

The same logic applies to the date. If you're hosting an outdoor event, the summer months are the most reliable for good weather. The idea of being out in the sunshine might just tip over those more cautious amongst us to buy a ticket and attend, knowing that the location and date have been carefully considered.

Risk assess with Carter Consultancy

With any larger scale venue comes its own set of risks and regulations. We have over 30 years of experience in the security industry, and Carter Consultancy is therefore well equipped to offer reliable and expert advice about event security. We can ask you questions, pose scenarios and explore avenues of security you might not have already considered.

Contract security officers you know you can trust

With any event, keeping your guests and staff safe has got to be the priority. This can include anything from traffic control to ticketed entry as well as security officers trained in handling emergency procedures and de-escalation. Our security officers all hold a valid SIA license and we never subcontract, this enables us to provide only the very best security officers for your event.

Not only that, but throughout the pandemic, we have operated as COVID-19 Marshals, meaning we're fully aware of the regulations surrounding social distancing and therefore fully respect the risks, putting the safety of all those attending your event first.

Market your event

Once everything is organised, it's time to spread the word! Now that you know you have a safe, operational and inviting venue, marketing should be easy. Let people know that you have considered COVID-19 and security -- as well as whatever fun activities and entertainment to expect.
