It's not often that you get to say you've appeared on BBC News, but for our very own COVID-19 Marshal, Brett Cruickshank, that's exactly what happened last week! Thank you Brett for representing CSS Ltd, highlighting the work we're doing alongside local councils to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

We're incredibly proud of the work that our COVID-19 Marshals do. It is by no means an easy role, being on the front line, engaging with members of the local community and understanding how to communicate potentially difficult conversations about government guidelines isn't easy! But, it's a role many of our security officers have transferred their skills to and adapted to amazingly well.

With the closure of the many sites within the hospitality industry, like many other businesses we faced a challenging start to 2020. When the opportunity arose to support local councils with highly-trained COVID-19 Marshals, we sprung into action, knowing this would be our way to help the country in the fight against coronavirus. To maintain our reputation for excellence, we knew we'd need to re-train and begin setting out the scope for a role that has never previously existed.

We're humbled at appearing on BBC Look East (West) and proud of how we've been able to provide an exceptional service to local councils and the general public.

The easing of lockdown restrictions will bring with it new focusses for our COVID-19 Marshals. It's a huge responsibility, with the success of keeping infections rates down being the door to returning to normality -- and COVID-19 Marshals will be a key part of that process.

We're forever thankful to every member of our team, with individuals like Brett Cruickshank representing CSS Ltd standards and demonstrating our dedication to keeping everyone safe. As security and safety have always been at the heart of the quality security service we provide, the transition to COVID-19 Marshal has in many ways been a logical one. We looking forward to continuing to work hard over the coming months, supporting local councils, and guiding local businesses and the general public, with the hope that -- together -- the end of the summer brings normality back to the UK.
