The office team at Carter Solutions and Services Limited recently enjoyed a team building day out in Norfolk at the Snowsports Club. Together they enjoyed skiing and snow tubing -- one of the fastest growing winter sports! Getting the team together outside of the normal working week got us thinking about what makes such a great workforce, especially when it comes to the security sector.

 

1.Communication

We're firm believers of working with friends, not strangers. Only when you know what makes a person tick can you truly understand their strengths and how to support their weaknesses. That's why it's fundamentally important to communicate! By understanding our employees, we can tailor their skill sets to individual clients, ensuring the best security officer is partnered to the most suitable contract -- it's for this reason we never subcontract our staff too.

 

Communication can be a challenge when it comes to managing security contracts up and down the country. Many of our clients require security throughout the night too, and we're pleased to have a remote management system that allows our team to stay in touch in the early hours.

 

2.Same goals

We're confident that every member of the CSS Ltd team holds the same goal:

3.Support

Managing an effective work-home balance is tricky, especially when antisocial hours come into play, after all, that's often the nature of the job when it comes to security. Therefore, we place great importance on supporting our staff, whether that's through providing last-minute cover, or with tailored training to allow individuals to reach their potential in their careers.

 

4.Having fun

Life is too short to not enjoy your job, and we hope every single one of our employees enjoys their work and have job satisfaction at the end of every shift.
