Working closely with the client
It's hugely important to trust our security officers to work closely with our clients. Working remotely means putting a lot of faith in our team. It means allowing them to build relationships with the people they work closely with and giving them the responsibility to manage their own contracts and understand the individual needs of the client. Having an open relationship with the wider team not only demonstrates how much confidence we have in them, but it also helps with the personal development of each of our security officers.
Covering holiday and sickness
We clearly take security extremely seriously. This means that even if a member of the team is unwell, we know we need to have their shift covered. It always means we require flexibility in the team to cover annual leave requests. Dennis is brilliant at being accommodating when it comes to short notice cover requests. We know he can operate professionally and reliably and that he has the best interests of the team in mind. As an organisation, it really takes the pressure off, knowing we have people like Dennis on hand!
The importance of reporting
Reporting is a fundamental part of the role -- and one that doesn't tend to automatically spring to mind when it comes to security guards. It is so important at maintaining the quality we have across the organisation, allowing us to take note of specific instances that might occur during a shift, and learning from them.
Staff appreciation is something we place huge importance on at Carter Solutions and Services Limited. It's part of our culture and we enjoy recognising the efforts of everyone in our team.
