We've recently had a new member join our team, Brett, who has taken on the position of Operations Manager. As with any new colleague, we want to wish him the very best of luck and offer him all the support he needs to excel in his career with Carter Solutions and Services Limited.

As part of his role, he will be spending time travelling all over the country. It's for this reason we have invested in a Volkswagen Tiguan for him, demonstrating how seriously we take looking after our staff. Having a safe and reliable vehicle is the least we could do, considering extensive travel is part of his everyday duties. We hope this illustrates that we put the wellbeing of our employees at the heart of everything we do.

So, what will Brett be doing on his travels?

  • Visiting sites and clients

Having management visit sites and clients enables the head office to have a hands-on approach year round. The nature of our business relies on trusting our security officers with remote working, and whilst we have no doubts they all do an exemplary job each and every day, it's important for management to have their feet on the ground too. Only then can we support, encourage and monitor every contract -- making sure that our security guards feel safe and supported, as well as ensuring our high standards across the UK.

  • Interviewing staff

We operate on a national scale, and this means employing security officers across the country. Our Head Office is in Wisbech, and for many of our contracts, this simply isn't convenient and it would be unreasonable to expect prospective employees to travel if the contract is hundreds of miles away! This is where Brett can assist, travelling the length and breadth of the UK to conduct interviews. As you're well aware, we never subcontract staff, and this means we don't rely on agencies to conduct our interviews for us. Brett understands exactly what makes a brilliant security guard, and can easily identify someone who would fit right into the Carter Solutions Services Limited family.

  • Conducting compliance checks

Compliance is everything when it comes to security. We need to be confident we're operating safely and within the confines of the law. Having a mobile operations manager ensures our standards never slip -- no matter what site, and no matter what contract.

  • Ensure staff welfare

Staff welfare is incredibly important. We need to ensure that the conditions our security officers are working in are up to standard -- but it goes much deeper than that. A career in security can be stressful, and it can be difficult to communicate those stresses to management if you work remotely. Having Brett visit allows for face to face meetings, to establish staff welfare and offer support and training when required.

For more information on how we can work with you to provide a quality security service at your business premises, please don't hesitate to get in touch a member of our team.

Alternatively, if you're looking to further your career within the security industry, please check the careers section on our website or email us an up to date copy of your C.V. We never subcontract our staff, we invest in their training and we work hard to support our staff. We look forward to meeting you.
