First of all, welcome! If you're reading this then you're considering working with us or considering a career in security. It's a challenging but rewarding role, but it can be tricky to know where to start!

We've tried to make it as simple as possible to apply for a role as a security officer with us, and many of our positions are listed on the careers section of our website. There are a few things worth noting before applying though.

Make sure you have a valid SIA license

One of our key principles is that we do not subcontract staff, and that means we invest heavily in our men and women and support them to reach their potential. We, therefore, have to be sure that the security officers we employ have the same morals as us, as we rely on them to represent our company. Being a security officer is tough, it isn't for everyone, and in order to understand this, it's important to complete your SIA license. This costs £210 for a three-year license, a small investment when it comes to your career, but it demonstrates to us that you're committed to the role, understand your expectations and that you meet the minimum requirements necessary for starting work immediately.

You can apply for an SIA license and undergo the necessary training by visiting the Security Industry Authority website.

Check the details on the job specification

The next important thing to do is to really read the job specification. We detail the hours, pay and the location in every job advert, so please read this carefully before applying. We will also try and state whether or not the position is full time or part-time. We will include whether or not the role is for weekend hours, night time or evening, or if it's in a '4 on, 4 off' pattern. We try to be as explicit as possible in our job adverts, but if you do have any questions, then please don't hesitate to contact us by emailing jobs@css.limited.

Keep checking our website and social media

Finally, if there isn't a role listed that suits you, you are welcome to send us your C.V. so we can keep it on file should something more fitting arise. As a growing business, we recruit often, so please don't give up hope! Make sure you're also following us on Facebook or LinkedIn, where we often post vacancies too.

Finally, we are currently on the look-out for Security Officers, Gate House Officers, Mobile Patrol Officers and Manned Guard-Reception Officers - for full-time and part-time positions. If you could picture yourself as working for one of the leading security companies in the UK, please get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you!

Alternatively, for more information on how we can provide a quality security service at your business, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
