We’re recruiting SIA Licenced Security Officers!

We are recruiting SIA licensed security officers to join the Carter Security Solutions team. We are always on the lookout for talented individuals to represent the high standards we’re known for, but now it is particularly important to recruit the right individuals.

As is always the case, we have extremely high standards when it comes to recruitment, but now more than ever, it’s important for us to get it right.

You must hold a valid SIA license

First and foremost, it’s important that you already hold a valid SIA licensed. For us, holding a valid SIA license is the basic standard that all of our security officers need, and all potential candidates need to hold this before applying. This allows us to build upon an individual’s training, including that surrounding social distancing but also including industry-specific training as well depending on the client and contract.

Be aware of current government guidance

The rules and regulations around social distancing, social bubbles and what can reopen and when have been changing all the time, and this means our security officers need to be hyper-aware of any changes to legislation. Whilst we’re all keen to see the lifting of all social distancing measures, this might still take time – and vary depending on location. It is our role to keep businesses and members of the public safe – more than just physical security measures.

Be professional and sensitive to all situations

The role of a security officer is a complex one, and we are seen as trustworthy, responsible and professional individuals, ready to respond to whatever situation is presented in front of us. Regardless of the role and contract, a security officer needs to be calm and be an excellent communicator. We are an extension to the team of our clients, and as such a security officer represents both Carter Security Solutions and the client. We have an excellent reputation in the security industry, and if you think what you have what it takes, please get in touch to apply.
