This week we have been conducting interviews with security officers looking to join the Carter Solutions and Services team. We are always on the lookout for talented individuals to represent the company, but now it is particularly important to recruit the right individuals.

As is always the case, we have extremely high standards when it comes to recruitment, but now more than ever, it's important for us to get it right.

Be aware

The rules and regulations around social distancing, social bubbles and what can reopen and when have been changing all the time, and this means out security officers need to be hyper-aware of any changes to legislation. It is our role to keep businesses and members of the public safe. As keyworkers, we have been actively participating in the battle against the coronavirus since day one, and we will continue to support wherever necessary and go above and beyond to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Be sensitive

There is a lot of social unrest at the moment, whether that's to do with local-level protests surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement or to do with the frustrations of lockdown in general. This means that our security personnel need to be particularly sensitive and cooperative.

Hold a valid SIA license

Whilst there are additional factors to consider right now, we shouldn't forget 'the basics'. For us, holding a valid SIA license is the basic standard that all of our security officers need to abide by, and all potential candidates need to hold this before applying. This allows us to then build upon an individual's training, including that surrounding social distancing but also including industry-specific training as well.

So, if you're currently looking for work due to implications of COVID-19, we are recruiting for Security Officers, Gate House Officers, Mobile Patrol Officers and Manned Guard-Reception Officers - for full-time and part-time positions. If you could picture yourself as working for one of the leading security companies in the UK, please get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you!
