Social distancing, a term that was pre-2020 was an unheard term, is now part of everyone's daily vocabulary. The warm weather and lockdown beginning to ease, local councils, especially those that are the home to beaches and areas of natural beauty, are expecting multiple challenges to appear in the coming weeks.

Interestingly, Broadstairs and St Peter's Town Council have partially funded security patrols on their beaches following antisocial behaviour in the area. In a report from Kent Online, 'their main role will be to ensure social distancing, prevent antisocial behaviour and provide a physical presence on the beach.'

Numerous reports over the last few weekends have seen crowds of people gathering in popular tourist hotspots, such as the Brighton Coast and The Peak District, with social distancing being almost entirely forgotten. Whilst it's understandably frustrating to have activities limited, the risk of COVID-19 is still very much present and protecting the vulnerable individuals in our community needs to still be a priority, hence the continued need for social distancing.

Therefore, we can understand why Broadstairs and St Peter's Town Council have turned to a local security provider for support, stating, 'Residents have shown remarkable resolve in following social distancing rules during the lockdown and the town council is determined to do everything in its power to ensure that both residents and visitors can enjoy our beautiful beaches as safely as possible.'

Whilst this is only a temporary measure, they are open to extending the scheme if proven successful. With safety at the forefront of everyone's minds right now we want to make local councils in Wisbech and the surrounding areas know that we can step in if something similar was deemed necessary. We're also proud to offer a national service, with proven strategies to support remote working, so we can assist across the entire of the UK.

For more information on how we can provide a quality security service during these difficult times, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

So, if you're currently looking for work due to implications of COVID-19, we are recruiting for Security Officers, Gate House Officers, Mobile Patrol Officers and Manned Guard-Reception Officers - for full-time and part-time positions. If you could picture yourself as working for one of the leading security companies in the UK, please get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you!
