Whilst England restrictions on social distancing and facemask wearing have been relaxed, that doesn't necessarily mean you should be leaving your facemask at home. Whilst it is a choice on whether or not you want to wear a mask, it is down to the business and their premises on whether they want to encourage social distancing, face masks and the NHS track and trace app. For the security on site, this means politely enforcing the regulations to members of the public, respecting the wishes of the client/business and their preference at all times.

Living with COVID-19 now seems to be the general consensus amongst the public, but with respect and personal preference now taking precedence, it's important that security officers are able to bridge that gap between what's legally enforceable and what's the preference of that particular business. Just as pubs, clubs and bars can refuse to serve someone who is overly drunk and disorderly, or aggressive, it might be that a poor attitude towards their personal preferences might sea person refused service. It will be the role of the security officer to escort them off the premises if that is the case.

With experience across the hospitality sector, we're expertly trained in de-escalation techniques, and we pride ourselves on our clear communication and no-nonsense attitude. We will always put the needs of our clients first, and that includes your preferences to key issues such as face masks, social distancing, the NHS track and trace app, one way systems, table service and anything else you might have in place at your pub, club, bar or licensed gaming venue.

The government's wording on this next phase of what we hope is the end of the pandemic is to take this next step safely, and safety and security are what we specialise in. Knowing that you have the support of trained SIA licensed security officers and door supervisors should give you peace of mind that the next few weeks and months will pass smoothly. We want your customers to feel safe, and to return time and time again -- we've very much missed working alongside the hospitality sector and we're incredibly pleased to be back.

For more information on how we can work with you to provide a quality security service at your business, please don't hesitate to get in touch with a member of our team. We look forward to hearing from you.
